Fight Against Racism to Build a Peaceful Homeland

A CALL TO ACTION

July 5, 2020
Oppose racism and safeguard our peaceable homeland. An all-Canadian online rally.

Waves of anti-racism and calls for social justice have recently swept the globe, and the conscience of humankind is developing before our eyes. Even so, the specter of racism often still haunts us.Especially since the outbreak of the novel corona-virus pandemic, a small number of people have devoted their efforts not to bringing all walks of life in society together as one to fight the pandemic and revitalize the economy, but instead to shift the crisis onto others and seek for scapegoats.

These people make trouble out of thin air, confound right and wrong, mislead the public with falsehoods, and entice and lead Canadians astray by stoking racist sentiment, all with the ultimate purpose of dividing and wrecking Canada’s pluralistic and harmonious social atmosphere. They disseminate racist language until members of minority groups suffer bodily and psychological harm, and sometimes they even carry torches and weapons and burn down commercial establishments.

We absolutely must not turn a blind eye in the face of these adverse currents. We cannot bite our tongues and remain silent, allowing our own legal rights and interests to be trampled upon at will. If we just take it all and suffer in silence, there will be no end of trouble and disastrous consequences for us! Let us state in unison that we shall resolutely oppose racism, sustain the principles in the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, stem the contrary tide of racism, safeguard the rights, interests, and equality of members of each community along with their physical security, and build a Canada with a happy and peaceable society!

With all our hearts we hope and expect that community associations and individuals in every city will support our call by immediately acting and joining hands with us in fighting and winning this defensive battle for our rights against racism!
